A new and innovative design relocates the air conditioning units for motorhomes from the roof to the engine compartment, with the air outlet positioned beneath the dashboard. This frees up space on the roof, lowers the centre of gravity and, particularly in vehicles with a pop-up roof, allows for the installation of a dedicated air conditioning system for the interior. Teleco Ultra Comfort are the world’s first air conditioning units with a diffuser installed beneath the vehicle’s dashboard. They have been specially developed for Stellantis vehicles (Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Renault Boxer, Opel Movano). What makes them special is that the compressor is installed in the vehicle’s engine compartment without the need to modify any technical components on the chassis. Existing space in the engine compartment is utilised for installation, so no further valuable storage space is required. The air conditioning systems consist of two units: 1x The indoor unit is fitted into the dashboard inside the vehicle 2x The outdoor unit consists of two parts connected by a hose, which are installed behind the vehicle’s bumper. The refrigerant gas is already filled into the air conditioning system and distributed to all parts, including the watertight connecting hoses. Thanks to heat pump technology, the unit can be used as both an air conditioner and a heater.
