ATC - AL-KO Trailer Control - tandem axle up to 2500 kg

They are situations that every driver fears: The caravan starts to lurch due to gusty winds, wind pressure when overtaking or sudden evasive maneuvers. In the worst case, the caravan rocks and an accident occurs. With the ATC, AL-KO offers an anti-roll system that - like the ESP in a car - registers swaying movements on the caravan axle via a lateral acceleration sensor. A tolerance range for permissible lateral movements is stored in the system. If this is exceeded, the ATC intervenes before the caravan can rock. The Bowden cables tighten, which in turn actuates the wheel brakes. This stretches the caravan and brings it back on track. The braking by the AL-KO Trailer Control takes place gently, but is still noticeable to the driver. The brake lights do not light up by the way.

Note: Be aware that the ATC for your caravan does not affect the critical speed range. So it has no effect on the requirements for speed 100 for caravans and other trailers.

You can use the AL-KO Trailer Control for all caravans with an AL-KO chassis from year of manufacture 1998. The installation you can more than one hundred AL-KO dealers in Germany carry out. The ATC is connected to the junction box of the trailer and thus supplied with power. When plugged in, an operation check is performed automatically. A green LED lamp on the start-up device indicates that the unit is ready for operation. Connection to a 7-pin plug, on the other hand, is not possible. Once installed, there no maintenance effort for the AL-KO ATC.
